Indian Rapper Badshah paid 72 lakh for fake views on his song, says Mumbai Police; Badshah denies the allegation

Rapper Badshah was questioned for 3rd consecutive day on Saturday by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch on the fake social media followers case. Mumbai Police claims that the rapper Badshah has paid ₹ 72 lakh for getting 7.2 crore fake views on his music video.

Badshah paid for fake views:

In a article published in Mumbai Mirror they mentioned that Badshah has admitted the purchase of fake views in front of Mumbai Police. According to the article, rapper Badshah paid a sum of ₹ 72 Lakh to get around 7.2 Crore fake views on his music video ‘Pagal Hai’. He did it with an objective to beat the record of most viewed song by Taylor Swift and K-Pop boyband BTS.

Where did it all start from?

The case came in limelight when Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) came to know about the fake profile of Bollywood singer Bhumi Trivedi. From there the investigation started and a big racket was exposed of ‘Social Media fake followers’.
