‘Singham’ fame Prakash Raj celebrates his 55th birthday on 26th March 2021. Born on 26 March 1965, Prakash Raj is an actor as well as a director and producer. Prakash Raj initially worked in theater. Apart from this, he also used to do street play. He used to get 300 rupees a month to work in the theater. After this he worked in TV serials.
Gradually he turned to films. He has been a part of Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Malayali and Hindi films. He played a variety of characters in films., mostlly a villain. Prakash Raj has also received a National Award for acting. Apart from acting in films, he is a director also. He has renamed himself Prakash Raj from Prakash Rai for screen name.

While Prakash Raj is a superstar of the South Film Industry, he has also made a distinct identity by acting in Bollywood films as well. Prakash Raj was a theater artiste before venturing into films. He started acting in Tamil films after Kannada cinema. In 1994, Prakash Raj made his debut in Tamil cinema with the film ‘Duet’. The film was a super hit and Prakash Raj also got recognition. Prakash made his Bollywood entry in 2009 with the film ‘Wanted’. He acted in films like ‘Singham’, ‘Dabangg-2’, ‘Mumbai Mirror’, ‘Policegiri’, ‘Heropanti’, ‘Zanjeer’. He is the villain in most of the films.
12 years younger Pony Verma’s second marriage
Prakash Raj remarried in 2010 to choreographer Pony Verma. There is a difference of 12 years in the age of both. On 3 February 2016, the sixth year of marriage, Prakash became the father of son Vedanta at the age of 50. This is the fourth child of Prakash Raj.
In fact, before Pony, Prakash married actress Lalita Kumari in 1994. The two divorced in 2009. They both have two daughters Meghna, Pooja and a son Sidhu. However, the son is no longer in this world.
